I'm 18 and i have 2 xf's i cant afford another one. especially considering the recession, id be lucky to only loose 3K a piece.
Several things come to mind here,
1) probably bought the wrong car, go with the SRT or something that is easily modded, Mustangs or rice burners.
2) this is not a car you can just throw parts at and hope to make it run quicker. TVT Design has parts and kits that'll give ya somewhere around 265hp I don't know that will get you what you want.
3) see member "HDDP's" posts about an SRT engine change out, it will cost ya more than what you probably paid for the whole car.
4) several folks have successfully added NO systems to their cars, but even nitrous kits are not cheap sooooooooooooo, there ya have it !
Good Luck on your Quest !

Everyone keeps saying to sell your NA and get an SRT. Well I did a search on Autotrader and there are only 2 for sale one is 100 miles away the other is 200 miles away. There is still the issue that they are not 6 speeds. Saving up for the TVT 265 kit and then a Procharger or turbo will follow after that. If it takes new pistons and rods then that is what it will take. I figure I am going to have the car for a few years so there is no hurry.

Wanted:
Vertical doors. I think it will make it a bit easier to get out of the car.
Lower and tighten up the suspension
Goodyear F1
400hp I know might not be possible, but hey if I get get 1000 hp out of a 327 you just never know. :-). Procharger has a kit for the V6 mustang so.....

I don't get it.

You want to mod your XF to go fast for $1,000 or less.

But you say you have TWO Crossfires?

But you DIDN'T BUY AN SRT-6?

Let's see pics of these two XF's!
