Geez I always knew there was a base model but I cant get my head around the "no leather" and "no fog lights" idea anyone have a picture of a base crossfire?

I have the base model, and specifically wanted one for being all black. I was not aware, though, that they only came in black (and sometimes red ) I really was not digging the silver trim on the coup on most colors. I really like it on the white for whatever reason. I would be curious to know what else is different from base to limited. One thing I can add is that the base uses H7 bulbs instead of HIDs. It also weighs just under 3000 lbs vs the limited at 3150 I believe.

Gotta love the base, I bought mine and am in the process of putting in SRT seats and HID fogs. I will still be under what I would have paid for the limited, have the features i want - the way I wanted to do them, and an all black beauty, no silver $hit on this beast.

All models of the Crossfire came with H7 Halogens. If it has HID's-they're aftermarket.

Limited has: Silver Trim around windshield, Fog Lights, Leather.

Base has: Same Color Car Trim around windshield, NO fog lights, Carpet interior, and BLACK volume control *****.

I simply tell them apart by the limited having fog lights and the base not

From looking at a lot of VINs doing the autocheck thing, I think the following holds true across the board. In the VIN, the number that is in position 6 represents: 5 = Base and Spec. Edition, 6 = Limited, 7 = SRT6.

This is what I have gathered from observation. Can anyone confirm/dispute this?
