Where have Crossfires been purchased?
I'm in So. Calif. Quite a few of the dealers around this area have X-fires. Most have only 1 or 2 but my local dealer (Shaver in San Bernardino) has 4. Bought mine in San Diego cause they had the Sapphire with a 6 speed.

I purchased a "blue" 6 Speed today at MSRP, not here yet but scheduled for delivery in "early July." The Dealer has one firm (the one I purchased) and 3 more by "scheduled" to come in by the end of the year.

I just stopped by a dealer in my town, first one in the area that got a Crossfire in. Tried to open the door and it was locked, and a salesman comes running over, "No, this is a show car, we can't let you touch it." Wow. I explanied to him that I was interested in purchasing it, and he went to talk to the manager, and came back and said he would open it and let me sit in it. "Don't scuff the door sill." Got it in, fit very nice. I had no intention of buying this car from them, but I let on that I did. I asked what I had to offer to get the car. The salesman said they weren't accepting anything less than $10,000 over sticker. Thanked him and left. I am actually glad the dealers are doing this. Now when I get mine at MSRP, those Crossfires that they are trying to sell at $10,000+ over sticker will still be sitting there, making this car more exclusive.
All your stories are awesome........and I know you are all from the U.S.........just wondering if anybody has bought one in Canada or know when they will be available here as I live in Toronto and can't wait to get one........drolling in anticipation......
Looks like I am the only potential owner of a Crossfire viewing this website from ENGLAND .... they dont launch here until October .... thinking of ordering a second one now and selling it for a profit once they launch .... only 200 coming to UK for launch ... all you guys in the USA getting majority of stock !
I got mine in Northern NJ yesterday. SSB/Dark, Autostick. I wanted to wait for the 6-speed but the uncertainty of what was coming in made be take it first.
You know what they say, a Crossfire in the driveway is worth two on order
Though I agree with Mightyjlr, I don't think those that are paying extreme prices will kick themselves in a few months, perhaps a year. Only 8,700 cars in the US this year, so there will be few and frankly, I hope it says that way.
Most cars are on "allocation" now to dealers, they get what gets delivered, no orders anymore so I'd get something on paper from your dealership if they promise you a particular configuration.
And if you want one now, I'd take an extreme offer anytime

I think anyoine paying over MSRP will be kicking themselves when they start to become avail. When you go to sell you will be way upside down in the car. I've spoken to dealers wanting $10K over (who the hell would pay that!!) most want $5K over, and the one I'm buying from is selling me a blk for $500 over (which I talked him to MSRP.)
DON'T PAY OVER MSRP!!!!!!!!
