Default Houston Area xFire GTG Saturday April 4, 2008

Ok all you Houston Area xF drivers. I am hosting a get to gather (GTG) this coming Saturday, April 4, 2009. See www.facebook.com "Houston Area Chrysler Crossfire: xFire. Please feel free to join the page. This has just been set up so get in on the ground floor.
GTG starts at Starbucks Uptown Park near the Galleria 10:00 AM.
We will have coffee in the parking lot, leave around 10:45 to the Battleship Texas via the Lynchburg ferry! Photo opt and then down to the Kemah area. TBD. Wrap up will be near the boardwalk for brew and grub.
Sailors will boat my boat at 6:00 PM and return to dock around 10:00 PM. Moonlight sailing!
WHO IS COMING?
AND all you Charter Members please come and help! You know who you are. We will welcome all new comers!

Door prizes for Saturday meeting: $100 cash for longest drive! (Now that means straight line not if you circled around all morning).
$50 cash random drawing from the hat.
6 people will get a free sail, Saturday night on Galveston Bay. Drawing will be from the hat. Either 3 couples or mixture there of, if you are a solo driver.
I will guarantee the prizes. $5 per person to join the group. All collected money above the $150 top two prizes will be drawn for in a third pull from the hat.

I will be the final judge on all drawing winners! The buck stops here.
See facebook for additional details.
George
NOTE: Better PM me if you are driving a long ways. I will keep long distance drivers secret and will post the total drivers on our new facebook page.

oh by the way...every saturday evening there's a free outdoor car show in the Kroger parking lot on spring cypress. it's around spring cypress and louetta if you're familiar with that area.

but it's for classic cars only. you can still check it out...it's free! lol

Sounds like a good plan, but what time do you plan to get to Kemah? I tried to go down there two weeks ago on a Saturday. The line on Hwy 146 was 30 minutes from both directions because there was no parking to be found. I gave up and left. Maybe it isn't so bad if you get there early enough.

Yes the traffic can be less than perfect. Maybe the weekend you were talking about was spring break and it was about 5 times worse than normal. It looks like the response is near zero so unless we get a quick change in replies, we will have to try another weekend.

Well Houston. I only had one private message and no other replies. So we will have to meet another weekend. I have 8 non XFire friends sailing with me Saturday night on a moonlight sail.
Oh, the subject line had 2008 but I meant 2009.
Cheers to all and have a great xFire weekend.
George

Well it looks like there are at least 3 or 4 of us who are serious about getting together. Is anyone up for a ride on Saturday, April 18th or Sunday the 19th? If so we can email one another for suggestions.
