Save your money, skip that eBay model, and get a NeedsWings intake. You'll thank yourself later

I agree. I got suckered in with one of the eBay short rams, and quickly realized that sucking in hot engine-compartment air offset any perceived gains.
At least with the Needswings, there ARE proven gains.

You should be shot for thinking about buying that!

How can it be "cold air", LOOK WHERE THE FILTERS ARE. RIGHT NEXT TO THE ENGINE!!!!

Get a Needswing Intake (the one I have!!) or a TvT.. both are "true" cold air intakes, but IMO the needswings is 10000% more aethestheically pleasing.

Now, now, go easy. I recognized that photo from a member here. That setup was done before the Needswings CAI was designed/developed. Needswings is better.

Check with NeedsWings, LET, Eurocharged or TVT Design for a compatible CAI. They're all on this forum.

supermant11,

Take if from someone who has that exact set up...it's all show and no go.
I installed my "HAI" before they came out with the true CAI. Definitely go with either Needswing or TVT when you can. Right now the only thing my HAI is doing is giving the exhaust a little more growl but I'm sure that when I get around to finally installing a CAI it will make a world of difference. It's a cool looking set up but if you want true performance gains save your money and pick up a true CAI.

It's a nice looking setup but get one of our vendors CAI's. I have my cheepo $150 Spectre setup from Autozone which seems to do the trick for me.
