A quick question... need as many quick answers as possible
There's always been some talk about whether or not, with a VIN number available, a potential thief could get a key made for a particular vehicle & swipe it.
Along with all the other things a person can worry about this ranks way close to the bottom of my anxiety list. It's conceivable but unlikely.
I don't worry about it.

If they have the vin number and address I guess that is possible. But is it really worth going through all that trouble to steal a car.... unless it is a one of a kind vehicle worth more together as a whole than in parts. Plus they would have to get through the garage door first.
Thanks for the info!

Look at all the dealers that post the VINs - doubt many are used to make keys.
What would be easier? The dealers address is known and the VIN is known and the car is sitting on the lot.
Dont worry about it.

Our vin's are as clear as day just sitting outside. Anyone can just come up to your car and get it. So why even worry about it.
