NEW Crossfire Emblem Survey
Re: NEW Crossfire Emblem Survey
Everybody's a critic- I like Nate_Mans best because the flame is separated visually from the X more. But on his, the top right corner of the X is longer. Is it part of the letter? The other 3 corners are not long they clearly stop as in a traditional font. The length implies it's the flame, but it's not that either. I made a design for Tee Shirts where the fire/flames are coming off of the letters:
Consider my input after understanding what I did, I may be way off.
I really like the black/red combo, but our car is Yellow, not going to work. We have Andrews emblems and are happy with them, but your designs are fresh, new and sharp. Another thing is the respect you showed Andrew, well worth noting. So........
flames-yes
new without the coupe/roadster image-yes
original art-yes
two tone silver combo-doesn't do much for me
Could you work it so that it's black and the color of each car? That would really play off of the color well. Black cars would then have black/silver combo:
Now black and red work well with a yellow car!

Yes I thought about the Red X with a silver instead of gray circle to match the silver trim. I wanted the "X" to be the main focus with the Crossfire type to really pop, with the gray ring to be more subtle.
These will be printed on a a silver polyester "foil like" substrate. I'm still waiting on samples of brushed stainless foil from the printer. Both the red X and the gray ring will be printed semi-transparently so the stainless texture should show through. The Crossfire type will have no ink coverage, just silver background. The black will be a really rich opaque black. This should to give a nice depth to this emblem with the different opacities. It also will have a clear dome over the top.

These will be manufactured in Michigan by a company that already designs automotive and marine emblems. They are high quality decals that apply directly over your factory emblem. They have a seven year UV domed capping, and are slightly raised. The new sets will be front and back ONLY. I have to buy them in bulk and will be limited to only three designs. The target price is $25 for a front and back emblem kit, including shipping.
I am ready to pull the trigger on this project but need help narrowing the enclosed designs down to three. You're input will help me with ordering quantities. Thanks!
I tried working these out with Andrew's printer last month but unfortunately the intricacy of the design did not transfer well. If anyone here is new to the forum Andrew sells both standard and custom emblem sets. They are still the best deal in town, quality product, and he's a great guy also. Andrew's emblems can be found here:
