strut tower brace
Re: strut tower brace
There is a strut tower brace available here in germany. It's made by Wiechers (german company for roll cages) and it's available in aluminium or carbonfibre. I don't have one and I don't know how well it fits.
In fact I don't think that this car will benefit much from a strut tower brace since it is already very rigid. Unless you take it frequently to the the track - then it might be of use.

Re: strut tower brace
The Racingline Aluminium is 195$ and the carbonfibre is 375$ (without shipping - just the regular EUR price converted to USD)
Both are available on eBay too - look for 370189255937 and 260395128229
They probably deliver worldwide.
But again - I don't know how well they fit. And regarding the SRT - I can't find any information about if they fit on your car - they might only fit on n/a's.

Re: strut tower brace
SERIOUSLY THE CAR DOESN'T HAVE STRUTS!!!
WTF ARE YOU GOING TO BOLT TO?
On a car with struts the weight of the vehicle on that tire is taken up in the strut tower since the spring is around the strut, our cars are not like that the sping mounts in a pocket.
I could see some benifit if the " brace " mounted to the bolt that mounts the upper control arm but most likely you would see no benifit on a street driven car no matter how hard you think you drive

Re: strut tower brace
Apologies for bumping a 6 year old thread, but did anyone ever end up purchasing/installing the Wiecher's Sport strut bar? I am looking to purchase one purely for aesthetic purposes. I've had a strut bar on nearly every car I have ever owned and I feel that they dress the engine bay up nicely.
Also, I would imagine that it'll fit both the N/A & SRT models being as the websites I have seen it for sale on do not specify otherwise. Generally if there are fitment issues with a specific model, the manufactuer will include the information.

Re: strut tower brace
.
I personally would not mount this 'brace'. One reason, it is awfully close to the top of the engine cover. Second, was holes drilled? If so, I would not wish to drill into the underside of the wheel wells to mount. Again, a few good points here @ no struts in front, the still suspension already there, and my thoughts on 'if' the engine rocks too much on the motor mounts it may knock/rub the cover into the brace. Good luck!
