can someone tell me which interior silver color was on each year? i know some had the matte silver, some had a gloss finish....
I have an 06 srt with the matte, and want to get a cup holder...i need to know which type!!

I thought all crossfires had the same "brush silver"? You are talking about the center console?

 

I thought it was just the '04s that had the matte finish....but, I'm really not that positive so wait for further input/confirmation.

 

while I'm at it, anyone know how i can find out the cup holder part number, and where I could get it online? the dealer is asking a fortune...

 

Have you ever tried to use the cup holder?
It should be available here in archives, do a search, I have seen it.

 

Here's something that'll actually help..

Only the 04's had the glossy silver finish on their console.

05's and up had a matte silver finish.

 

I am unaware of the member's name but if you look in the classified section, there was a member supplying dealer parts at 20% off MSRP, may want to look into that.....

This is correct. They changed the finish for 05 and up.

 

Do a search on 20%, and you will find it. He's out of Texas.

I thought that it was all the same for all models. It's only now I learned they come in gloss and matte silver.

The differences between the two are as stated..

The glossy is a glossy or shiny silver surface.. the matte is a "dull" silver if you will.. the glossy definitely will reflect more sunlight IMO..

If you need further explanation use the dictionary to define glossy and matte.. (not trying to be an *** just dont really know how else to explain these..)

 

Just last week I bought a piece of center trim from a dealer over the phone thinking that there was only one color
Didn't specify the year or color... must think positiv it is still on transit in the mail. Well, if the colors don't match... at least I can make pictures and post it here to see the difference

if they changed in 05, strange that my dealer lists two completely different prices for 05 and 06....

 

'04's are glossy (have a clear coat applied over the silver)... The reason they switched it for '05+ is the fact that gloss reflects the suns rays much more intensely than matte.
You could see that in a roadster you'd be blind!

Not sure why the dealer lists two different prices for '05 and '06... maybe they're confused?!
