Default WHAT IS TO COME????? SUPERCHARGE

For those wanting more pwer without the huge price tag:

I read in the AUTOMOBILE (Sept issue) mag that Chrysler is going to add a supercharger to the Crossfire. Not to mention, a retractable hardtop!!! I was wondering about that since the SLK had one too. The new convertible I saw had a rag top. May have been an old picture or something.

The new SLK is in the magazine too.. IT IS NOTHING TO LAUGH AT. It is longer and wider, but I still rather have the Xfire.

Could the supercharger be added to the 2004 aftermarket?

They didn't say. They just said soon. However with all the griping I am sure they are hearing, I wouldn't doubt if the engineers are giving the green light for this .:-)

I contacted Kleeman. Here is their reply:

KLEEMANN has never done an installation on a Crossfire. Seeing as how the Chrysler uses an MB engine and electronics, I have no reason do believe it wouldn't work. Unfortunately, first installations on new cars must be done at our facility in Colorado. There may be issues with fitting the kompressor on that particular car which we need to be aware of before selling the system to our dealers for the Crossfire. I highly doubt there will be any issues, but we don't take chances at KLEEMANN.
The system is priced at $8,500.00, with installation being around $1200.00. Rated output for say an E320 is 330HP and 315 lbs/ft of torque. These numbers will carry over to the crossfire as well.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and Thank You for contacting KLEEMANN USA!

I know.... My truck does 205 now.. 215 isn't alot, but I am not taking this car to the Indy 500. Besides the way they are reducing speeds arond here, I am bound to get a ticket doing 70 in a 60..LOL..
