Default What HID kit did YOU use?

I am looking to get a second HID kit for my foglights, It has been a few years since I purchased my first kit and it looks like the HID kit game has changed a little bit. It appears they now how lower wattage kits, "slim line" kits, and they seem to be a lot cheaper. My first kit was McCulloch 8000K, which I got on ebay for around 300 dollars.

Can you guys please list which kit you have, which temperature rating, where you got it, and how much it was? Thank You very much.

Got mine on Ebay for 50 bucks and it has worked great for over a year. It's 6000K and looks factory.

I have used two different kits one brand for all 4 lights on the zx14, and a different brand for the crossfire. Both kits were from ebay. I just did a search for the specific bulb size. I believe they were 70 bucks shipped. No problems with either brand. The ones I have on the crossfire came in a pretty generic looking red box. I'll look at ebay and see if they are still there. chris

Got my HID's installed yesterady. I paid $225,- for lowbeams & foglights 8000K installed. I was afraid the 8000's are too blue, but they look white to me (never mind I'm color blind ). Also there are no problems with the "light bulb burned out" light. Installing the HID's took those guys (2 people)about an half hour.... the tinting of the windows took almost 2 hours

This company had a tint special for $75,- on Saturday; 20% in back and rear windows, side windows 35%, they will honor this rate if you just mention the add on craigslist, with lifetime warranty.

Now waiting for my mesh grill, will find out on Tuesday if I get it cheaper than the $249,- on ebay advertised

A local dealer here in Dallas (Audiozone). He just moved from Miami (had a store there)and want to attract local business, hence having some good deals here. He specializes in audio equipment and body mods for cars.

This is probably a dumb question, but how long do the HID bulbs last compared to stock ones and where do you guys get new ones if they burn out?

Not at all a dumb question. I asked it myself.
I have not gotten any specific info as to how long they last but I imagine you can order replacement bulbs from the supplier that the kit is ordered from.

anyone use hqz4321 on ebay? they are the ones I was thinking about going with, I dont really wanna buy from them if no one else has...

I dont like it when they have low auction price and inflate the shipping though because it makes it impossible to retain your money via ebay if anything goes wrong.

I use the xenon depot hids. I love them and due to their phenomenal customer service they are the only HIDs i will ever buy. I also have a set on my 4runner and am about to purchase a 3rd set for my dads.

This is the one I just installed in the Aero. The wires were already routed through the grommet and all I had to do was cut the hole in the dust cover for the grommet to fit in and mount the ballast. No light out indicatior. I still have to install the second set on the SSB. A little higher priced I guess, but I am happy with them.
