Hello All
Brand new to this forum, so please forgive the obvious questions Im about to ask.
Im debating a crossfire limited vs the SRT version
I know that I wont be able to achieve nearly the hp from a limited but..
what kind of mods to the regular crossfires like, and what kind of h.p/tq gains can I actually expect ???
Im assuming its intake,tune, exhaust
All advice and input would be GREATLY appreciated, as I didnt want to do a hundred searches.
Thanks in advance
Jeff

Hey everyone
Thanks for the responses so far... and please keep them coming.
From everything I have read it seems like the SRT guys love there cars.
I have driven both, and the limited one seemed a little under powered, especially by comparison, but the limited is alot cheaper, and not so dang hard to find...thats weighing in with my decision, both good and bad tho.HA!
Again thanks for the welcoming

You can buy a brand new Limited right now for less than $20K, it would have the
1. Lifetime Powertrain Warranty
2. You'll get the cool automatic wing
3. better MPG (probably)
4. 6 speed manual...

My opinion on this is as follows. The na coupe has a number of positive aspects going for it. There are still some sitting on lots (supposedly), so you can get them new for a great price. This of course, would assume that you find greater value in a new vs used car. Secondly, you can get the na coupe with a manual. For me, this was THE deciding factor for the NA vs SRT. No legitimate sports car should be offered with only an automatic--specifically, one that has a torque converter (unlike the PDK, DSG, SMG, F1, etc from other brands). I just couldn't do it to myself. If I wanted the motor in the SRT6 and an automatic, I would just buy a C32, as I feel that sedans are a more appropriate vehicle to have an automatic. So yeah, as you can tell, the transmission is a HUGE thing for me. I haven't regretted my decision, contrary to what others here told me prior to purchase. I've been having a ball with my 6-speed NA coupe.
Now, if you don't care or prefer used cars, don't care or prefer an automatic, have a significant preference for power over all else, and just simply really like the look of the crossfire over say a C32, then the SRT6 is your car without a second thought. If you like a more involving driving experience and don't find power the end all/be all, the 6-speed NA coupe is your best choice. I can't say I personally have a spot in this for a NA coupe with an automatic. Well, I guess if you could get an NA auto for < 10k, it would be ok. But I'd so kick myself. But in any event, this is my personal algorithm for purchasing a crossfire.

New member, one of his first posts, already talking about hp and mods..... just go for the SRT.
You are obviously interested in hp and you will spend more for a NA plus mods and will still be behind where you would have started with an SRT.
Nothing against NA XF but in the search for hp vs. $ starting point = advantage SRT.
