Well, mighty, I doubt I will put it on, as much as I like the plate. At least I'll wait til someone tries to force the issue as CT law does require it, lol.

I registered for XXXFIRE here in Ohio. Should have it in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I will probably have it in storage by the time I get it. XFIRE was already taken.

The registrar's staff spent nearly a half hour discussing whether or not it could be rejected if the XXX could mean something obscene. It was actually comical.

What I would like to know is how do you get crossfire from XFIRE? It should be xefire, right. And X is not a + cross. Anyway I went with KRSFIRE because someone had all ready taken CRSFIRE. I don't want to put my front plate on even though it's a law here. You would think DC would of come up with a better way of mounting this plate other than drilling holes in the front bumper. Why can't they make a James Bond type of revolving plate that can flip when ever you see a patrol car. :?

Here in Michigan, "X FIRE" was already taken, and my hubby came up with "MYXFIRE" and so that's what I've got.

Just because I'm feeling a bit orneyc
Why do you (the collective you) want t put the name of the car, and variations thereof, on a vanity plate? Reminds me of a friend who purchased a new GM van; his vanity plate reads: GM Van.

One of the many mysteries of life I guess.

I went the opposite route; i flossed the name off the hatchccleans up the aft end nicely.

You know, that's a good question... I hadn't given it that much thought. I guess for myself, I was thinking along the lines of "his, hers, mine..." etc... and that's how I came up with "MY XFIRE" Now ya got me wondering if maybe I should change it next renewal....

Re the "his", "her"c I'm lucky, my wife won't drive it.

By the wayc I wasn't tryin to be adversarialc I believe that whatever rings your bell is a good thing. Just merely curious about the popularity of vanity plates. Asidec i remember telling someone that the ultimate vanity plate would be a serious of randomly selected letters/numbers. See, the idea isc aw ferrgetit, it's a dumb idea.

It's cool You brought up a really good point.

...I'm lucky if I can talk my hubby into letting me drive. It's my car, but he likes it just as much as I do. I don't mind letting him drive though, he's a pro (works for the DC proving grounds), and he'll take the corners way faster than I would (I'm too chicken). I'll take a 35mph curve at 60mph, where he'll do it at 90mph... whew! what a rush!

Crhytec..... [ 4U2NV ] sounds pretty pretentious to me. I did see one that I thought was rather funny on a stone stock Toyota Corolla.. (NVTHIS).... I really got a good laugh from that one. I guess if you were driving a KIA you might envy the guy in the Corolla...

I have 2 sets of plates to choose from! I retained the plates from my 1964 Lincoln convertible when it was totalled, GR8LINZ (great lines for people that just don"t read fast enough) and I ordered XFIRED on the new Calif plate format saluting 9/11 , Beautiful plate, background is American flag and caption is " We will never forget"
