Can't get enough of seeing them. Just this afternoon I was eating outside of Subway and a nice convertible drove by with me staring at it. The guy was probably eating it up not even knowing I already had one. Gotta love it!

I have always known it was bad for me, but my significant other is definitely picking it up quick, we have only been together 6 months but she has been to the Dragon and a few other car shows with me and loves cars. Well, the other day I get a text from her and she says, "SRTs don't come in white do they???". To which I replied, "No you are correct, they never came in white" and she texted back with, "well then I just saw a white limited with an SRT spoiler on it"

I was thoroughly impressed and knew it was one hell of an addiction

Why don't I see more of our beauties in Manhatten? Have had my '05 coupe for a year now and drive to work daily.Only seen 3. Great first encounter was with an Alabaster '05 with Jersey plates that chased me to my next stop light just to say hello. We stopped traffic a bit too long exchanging compliments and got flipped the"bird" by a few irate non-understandable people!LOL..Made my day! Can't ever get enough.....

I have noticed over the years that I have increased interest in seeing the car I drive. I never notice them when I don't own one, then when I do, I see them everwhere.

This time, that's not completely the case - I have see less than ten Crossfires in almost two years of ownership. For me, that's alright. It reminds me of when I drove my E-Type Jag - I only saw three or four on the road, and the rest only at the shows.

In a way I like the exclusivity, though sometimes I wouldn't mind seeing one going down the road the same direction as me, just so I could watch it in action from outside.

Last weekend I saw a DB9 pull up behind me. Honestly, at that point the exclusivity of my Crossfire sort of shriveled up and blew away. That's OK. The base model Aston Martin nudges $100K. I'd buy one in a heartbeat but that would have me moving into a trailer park to afford the payments. Hmmmm.... That doesn't sound too bad...
Interesting you bring up the E type Jag.
I have always considered our cars to be in the same box as the E-type jag. Very special, unique and quite misunderstood by critics nd those who didn't actually own one.

I would expect ours to "ripen" as it were anddevelope much of the mystic and respect now given the few E-type sixes and 12's still out there. A 67 - 69 E-Jag will turn every head in a parking lot when it goes by.

They are still considered by many, one of the most beautiful pieces of automotive art and technology. Prized and loved despite the fact that few mechanics and parts are availble to keep them running.

Far from that. I put a lot into my first crossfire between a ton of parts fron various slk32, c32 and srt6 cars for supercharging it not to mention a used motor after I blew it up on the dyno so I wasn't really looking to get rid of her but the insurance company had other thoughts in mind and my buyback was stupid high for what needed to be repleced to make everything right. Am I happy I got my new one, heck yeah; am I happy how it happened, not a snowballs chance in hell.

Only if it's a black SRT-6 roadster.

Behind that, it's all red rules!

I never get tired of looking for them, kinda like a car version of 'where's Waldo"!
You are right about being "cross-trained", when I get to 62MPH I automatically look in the rear view mirror to watch the deploy. It is subconscious now, I anticipate the deploy more by feel than watching the MPH. With the 6spd I feel it no matter how aggressively I am driving so it doesn't matter what gear I am in I feel the deploy coming.
The best is when my wife and I leave at the same time and I can watch my other XF from the outside. We both look "Good" side by side at the stop light.

I have only driven my Crossfire two days in the last two weeks. I have been driving my dad's new fully loaded Cadillac DTS for work reasons. The Cadillac is very smooth on the highway and has an extremely quiet cabin. In other words...boring. I get back to the house and see my clean Crossfire sitting in the corner of the garage and that alone makes me smile. I can't wait to drive my Crossfire again.

just wrapping up a week long vacation in the NH seacoast area...saw SO many crossfires out here. One dealership had 12 still on the lot, never saw oyster gold before...nice color. Really miss my Nina. BTW, thinking about adding a cooper S to the family in the near future
