Tired of Seeing our Crossfires???
Do you think we EVER get tired of seeing our Crossfires? I think NOT... as much as I see mine I still want to see others! What is with that? Seems I can't get enough of this car! Is crazy! I feel weird!... lol
"You must be 'Car Crazy'" (Man that guy is goofy. So is Dennis on that other car show - you know - the one with the out-of-control handle-bar moustache?)
I have noticed over the years that I have increased interest in seeing the car I drive. I never notice them when I don't own one, then when I do, I see them everwhere.
This time, that's not completely the case - I have see less than ten Crossfires in almost two years of ownership. For me, that's alright. It reminds me of when I drove my E-Type Jag - I only saw three or four on the road, and the rest only at the shows.
In a way I like the exclusivity, though sometimes I wouldn't mind seeing one going down the road the same direction as me, just so I could watch it in action from outside.
Last weekend I saw a DB9 pull up behind me. Honestly, at that point the exclusivity of my Crossfire sort of shriveled up and blew away. That's OK. The base model Aston Martin nudges $100K. I'd buy one in a heartbeat but that would have me moving into a trailer park to afford the payments. Hmmmm.... That doesn't sound too bad...

So how's this for 'car crazy'.....Yesterday, I was driving my 'non-Crossfire' car, a 2000 Miata and as I descended onto a highway ramp that I often use in my daily travels, the Miata speedometer hit 62 and I looked into my rearview, anticipating the automatic spoiler deploying!!!!

That is too funny Monty, you've been well cross-trained!!!! And I know what you mean Deb, I'm the same way, and even my wife has gotten into it. She'll tell me she saw a red Cross going north on whatever, or she'll even see them before me when we're out running around. I never get tired of looking for them, kinda like a car version of 'where's Waldo"!
You'll know you're beyond the breaking point when your spouse finds you, once again, staring out the window at your Crossfire: and just shakes her/his head in surrender...
Addiction doesn't have to be ugly. Or bad.

Actually, I can tell you details about the three times I spotted a Crossfire on the road within the year before I bought mine. Each time, I was riveted with interest and struck with awe at the lines of those beautiful cars. Sort of the reason I wound up with one.
I've only seen one once since then, and was driving my truck when it happened.

It is still a very unique car. Last summer I saw quite a few around here, lots of roadsters but this summer hardly any. I know of two in this area that were totalled. There is only one car I want more right now and that is out of my reach at this point, a 34 Ford Speedster from the Roadster Shop. Looks a bit like a Prowler but with a "real" engine in it. So until lightening strikes I'm very happy with my Crossfire, best car I've ever owned.

I moved my office to the other corner of our building just so I could have a view of my car while at work. Thought it was bad when I first had my base coupe; now that I have the SRT, I'm not getting ANY work done! LOL This car is an addiction or a sickness, but I haven't figured out which.
Hahahaha, glad to know I am not the only one that goes to the window just to look at my car!!! Thought I was sick or something!!! They are beauties!

Black is not a color.

Black. Ha-ha-ha! Good one!
(AERO BLUE)
ok first of all white is the best.... secondly a c32 is better.... 3rd and final comment.... black is faster
but a white c32 even if it wasnt fast would be better than my srt-6... why? you may ask.... wellllll basically i have always wanted a c32 but they are still pricey for a car that has more miles than the crossfire and its older too..... sooooooo yay crossfire i wish you had 4 doors nav and a sun roof... but i can live.
i am just glad i dont see other ones all the time it makes me feel better about the car.
