Default Accident

Hi everyone.
I got into an accident with my crossfire this morning.
It was my fault.
I hit the right front area of my car, it looks like the suspension will need to get replaced as well as the front right panel and the door.
Does anyone know how much this will devalue my car.(If I want to resale it that is).
Just wondering thanks for your time everyone.

That sucks! What happened? Were you not paying attention or were you distracted by something? Sorry to hear the news. Hope everything works out for you. Best of luck.

Sorry to hear about your bad news. I wonder if the insurance will total it.

My brother and I were talking about if the insurance was going to total it.
I think that might be the case.I guess I'll find out this week sometime.
The suspension is toast, so is the whole right side basically.

Yeah I wasnt paying attention unfortunately.

Any air bag deployment??? From the damage you described if the airbags deployed I would say you are looking at a total for sure.

My guess is if the car is totaled, it would be devalued significantly. Sorry about the bad luck.

Yeah I wasnt paying attention unfortunately.

I was in an accident in my '07 base coupe in April of this year. Initially I thought it was just a bumper replacement, new radiator, and other minors. in the end the fram was slightly bent and the damage was just over $16k. They totaled it, which suck, but it also allowed me to get myself into an SRT-6 so that was a plus.

On the side of valuing it, I can give you some information on mine. Mine had just over 11,000 miles at the time it was totaled. Purchased new in April 08 and totaled in April 09. The paint was near immaculate and no flaws with it. They ended up valuing the car at $17k, which was about $4k more than I thought. So in the end I got $16.5k ($500 dedeuctible) and that is almost exactly what I paid for my SRT-6 with 19k miles ($16.7K)

Good luck with everything, hope it all works out smoothly.

Even though every second of the process is nerve-racking and stressful.

No Airbag was deployed.
But I'm sure that the damage is a total.
Considering how much the cars are worth now a days.
Why do you guys think The Crossfires have devalued so much?
They are amazing cars.
