First ticket
Somehow I avoided 2 speeding tickets this weekend. Was doing about 85 or 90 in a 70 MPH zone... saw the cop and slammed on the breaks. Both times they did not pull out. Not sure why. The point is when it is your time... it is your time.
Never got speeding tickets in any of my sports cars. Lasted YEARS until I got the crossfire. I got 2 for doing 11 MPH over the limit. Cops love our cars. They really stand out.

A History of Speeding Tickets
1. The record for the fastest speeding ticket in the world.
In May of 2003 in Texas, during the Gumball3000 rally from San Francisco to Miami, a Swedish built Koenigsegg was ticketed for going 272 mph in a 75 mph zone.
I don't believe this is correct, I thought the Bugatti was the fastest production car at about 253?????

a new trend here in the upstate of S.C. seems to be pulling people over for doing one mile an hour over the limit. My sister-in-law had this happen last week, and I've heard of at least three others like this. Her ticket said 46 in a 45. She's getting a lawyer.
Generally, if they pull a person over for something like that, it's only an excuse. They are trolling for other infractions-like drugs or DUI etc.
I surmise that this news reflects the harsh realities of our current economic woes. Local city / town governments are struggling for additional revenue and have started issuing a deluge in traffic tickets. Time to make some good use of that cruise control. Watch your speed, everyone. I'm watching mine!
