Cheapest and easiest way for power gain?
i wanna get the most bang for my buck on power. i just bought a magnaflow catback exhaust. it comes monday. but what else can i do thats not extreamly pricey.
Hate to tell you but the magnaflow wont give any power gains. But for the limited Crossfire there are a few. ECU remapping, CAI intakes, and there are a few other packages offered, but they can get pretty pricey. Check out tvtdesign.com and needswings.com

To reset the response history back to a factory-fresh, full-bore, hair-trigger response, just do this:
TURN THE KEY TO 'ON'. PRESS THE GAS PEDAL DOWN. WAIT 5 SECONDS. TURN THE KEY OFF. LET THE PEDAL UP. WAIT 2 MINUTES.
START THE CAR AND DRIVE. IT'LL GO LIKE HEll.
The throttle response is now back 'zero' so to speak. Try it. You'll be amazed at the difference. I'm going to make a habit of resetting the throttle every week or so. And it's FREE. And I'm not CRAZY. Do a search for throttle response and you'll find some better explanations.
Regards.

No way?!?! Awesome! I know that a car's ECU can calibrate to your driving habits, but I did not know you could reset the throttle like that. I have a slow throttle response, and someone told me to get the throttle reset, so I will try that. Thanks!

If you are a 'spirited' driver, the throttle response will adjust to that style. I am not smart enough to be more specific as to how the car's computer system does this, but it does. Weird. Regards.

Gotta' try that one myself! Thanks -- my new-used 2005 has some delay in the throttle response at various points, so hopefully this will fix it.

JUST REMEMBER to LEAVE the KEY in the switch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY while the ECU is being reset..... You remove the key....you'll have to start all over again !!
Just a friendly reminder

Reset mine this a.m., but haven't gone for a drive yet. The "wait two minutes" part -- know if you must sit in the car, with the door closed? If so I need to redo.
A couple of days ago I reset the FSS (was at -730 miles), but it took five tries using the procedure in the Owner's Manual. The second try with the door closed worked. But it seems to have messed up the clock too, so I still need to reset it.

some of these features have to be done several times to make them work...as for throttle lag, only a tune, or a device known as the "dreaded" sprint booster will take the lag out. There has been much debate about the sprint booster, mostly about its cost. Many have said they can duplicate it for less, but none have succeeded. Manufactured in Greece for the MB market...it works regardless of what you will hear. Some say, it works too well and makes the throttle too touchy so to speak...Mine works fine, but a tune, which I have as well, would have taken care of it...good luck...oh, I agree with a CAI, SB combination for your best power, but that would be in the 6-7 hundred $$$ market, unless you build a "do it yourself CAI...
