New Owner Woohoo!
Hi Everyone!
I've been scoping out these forums for about a year waiting to pull the trigger on a new car. I have spent the last two years debating over what to get for my next car to replace my aging Cadillac STS. I wanted something sporty, relatively inexpensive, reliable, and unique. The list of possible cars ranged from E36 M3s to a Honda S2000. After much consideration of price/mileage etc. and a few test drives, I ended up purchasing a beautiful 2004 Crossfire Limited 6spd last Wednesday.
It's a 1 owner car (now 2) with 34K miles on it. It's in beautiful condition and drives very well. I only had about ten minutes of manual driving experience before test driving her. I've found this to be a very easy car to learn the skill. I stalled once on the first day of ownership and haven't since, haha. I'm going to be driving back to my school in Florida in a couple of weeks (currently in Michigan). Driving through the mountains is going to be a thrill.
I've been obsessed with cars since I was three years old. It's great to finally have one I can tinker with a bit. I'd like to learn as much about it in the process as I slowly modify and personalize it. So far, I installed a pair of HID low-beams using the two helpful tutorials on this forum. I ordered a pair of HID fogs that will be here in a couple of days. I'm also going to polish up the headlights this week to get rid of some of the fogginess. Once I get to Florida, I plan to have the windows tinted...it's just too hot not to.
I can't wait to join in and contribute to the discussion on these forums!

I guess I DID move fast.
Pretty Coupe - if I could afford another car, I'd go find a red Coupe to sit beside my Roadster. I REALLY want one... but another car is just not a practical goal.

Red coupes ROCK!
Thanks for the warm welcome!
The hardest part was choosing the color. I really wanted a white one, but after seeing the red in person I had to get it. I test drove a black on cedar coupe with 6K miles...it was a beauty, but I think it would get too hot in water.
btw, I'm currently in Holland, MI...will be back in Ft Myers in a couple of weeks

You'll soon find out that reds are rare as well are whites.
Our first Xfire was a red and is my wife's daily driver. We lucked into finding it.

Congrats on the ride, used to have an old STS(94) - it was a sweet car, have found the Crossfire to be almost as comfortable - can't seem to keep the top up though - enjoy the car and Welcome to the forum
