Trying to visualize what you are intending and just can't seem to wrap my mind around it; European style plates maybe. You might want to demo it.

Lol... there are much easier solutions if this is your intent... Sev. different sites sell hide-away liscense plates that basically drop down when you want them to.. Although it sounds like a moving vehicle violation if you ask me lmao.

Just curious... Whyyyyy do you want this? lol?

Edit: Also... remember that the law says you must have a light source on the plate during nightime... So putting it under your wing would obviously create a bit of a problem..

only problem is you can't close the wing manually when you are speeding.

How about having the license plate on top of the wing, problem solved.

now that is James Bond stuff right there....speeding, automatically hide the plate....but only those darn photo radar thingy's would be fooled, the cop will just write 2 citations when he finally catches you...now if you are talking vanity plates, I think the 1 finger salute plate might work...

I can pretty much guarantee you don't really want to know what I'm thinking.

Just out of curiosity, how much "clearance" does one have "under" the wing when it retracts?
Has anybody ever put some soft puddy, or "Play Doe" under one and dropped the wing just to see?

And Welder, how do you make the wing go down at speed? I can keep mine down forever, but once I put it up, it stays up until I slow down below 35 mph.
