Do You DRIVE It or BABY It?
I"v NEVER been a "racer" or anything. And the first month or so, I mostly drove like I would any other vehicle. BUT, in the past two weeks, I seem to be addicted to, well, you know...
I mean, it's FUN to be able to PASS people, to be doin 80 by the time you get to the end of the on-ramp, etc.
I'ts just such a change from a 4 cyl Ford Ranger and a 1/2 ton Ford van (my personal and company cars that I drive every day).

When you spend 1k for new tires and a Benjamin for an oil change you damn well better get your moneys worth, I say DRIVE IT HARD!

I drive it like I stole it! ( Which I think I did!
)
Car had 17000 miles on it when I bought it in June 2008, it now has about 32K and it is not normally a daily driver.

But I DO baby the car - it stays in an Air Conditioned garage almost all the time and is a "weekend driver" only, for the most part. I MIGHT go get a burger and coke once during the week - 10 miles round trip - but mostly, it only comes out on the weekends. And even then, saturdays are for hiking (NEVER with the car, I get too dirty on my hikes!).
But I can't keep my foot out of it when I DO drive it...
I do both - Drive it year round (but not in heavy snow), but also wax it regularly, Lexol/303 the leather and 303 the top. It gets the garage too.
Driving style is moderate except when at the Dragon trying to keep up with oledoc2u.

I drive my car mostly to the car wash and to the race tracks. (and on the race tracks) When I have no racing, I drive to the supermarket or cruise the beach. 1 year, 2350 miles and time for tires. What a great fun car. I took an instructor for a ride on saturday at the track and he told me "all this car needs is to be lowered and some sticky tires" (Subaru fanatic and really fast driver) If the general public only knew how great this car was, it would still be in production. So I drive the car as fast and hard without wrecking as I can at the track, and nice and slow to the car wash. Babied and abused.

I baby mine a bit. Some folks (apkano, MI1XFIRE, etc.) will say that I drive like a grandma. lol.
Since September 2008, I have put ~200 miles on it.
I do like to 'get on it' from time to time, though I am not a fan of burnouts and the like. A quick 0 or 5-60 run is good enough for me.
