Default Exhaust question

I really like the tone of the original muffler, but I wish it had that same tone but louder. I'm talking about when you floor it, that beautiful sound. If I couldn't get that sound I would wanna have it sound really exotic but I definately want the same tips. Does anyone have sound clips of the flowmaster hushpower? or anyother sound clips would be appreciated

If you do a search, you will find a lot of reading on this.

You may want to do a search for ANSA.

I replaced my two rear cats with dual HushPower shortie stainless cone tuned resonators (12512300). Their flow rate is good up to 400 HP. Then a dual 2 1/2" by 3" Y-pipe back to the origional muffler. Sounds awlsome!!!! I don't have recording equipment. Maybe someone in Charlotte,NC could record it??? Squirrel Crusher

Do a search for Ansa FOR SURE. It is the most like a 'louder' version of the stock exhaust and I know there are at least 1 or 2 members that have had the stock tips put on the ansa and say it sounds/looks great, just a little louder than factory. If you want it to be a little louder than factory, do not bother with magnaflow.

Here is a post with sound clips and install photos of my 04 Crossfire with the Ansa Muffler.
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/342470-post68.html

Then I found that our stock tips can be welded on to the Ansa by first removing the tips from the Ansa and then removing the tips from our OEM and welding them on to the Ansa.
Not really a big job either.
I recommend getting it all done at the time of install
Here is a thread I posted showing the mod to the Ansa to give it the OEM look. See post #1

I really wanna hear the original muffler with the hushpowers installed to replace cats. How is the tone compared to the stock muffler? On a scale of 1-10 where does the original sit compared to the hushpowers in terms of loudness?
