Recently I was stopped for not having a front license plate. The ticket here is $60.00. I was not about to drill holes in the front of my bumper. also I am not going to feed the revenue for this State/County.
After reading the forum for solutions (there were quite a few stationary brackets) I decided on an electronic license plate bracket with a remote that was mentioned on this forum. It is retractable. This particular one is from Swift Motorsports. I don't know if there are others. The directions supplied were full color photo's with text. The install took me about 5 hours. This is without a doubt one of the coolest things I have installed on a car. The other being an electronic cutout pipe for my headers operated inside the car with a toggle switch. If you have the same problem consider an electronic one with a remote. Highly recommended.

 

Must be going around— I just got tagged four nights ago by State Patrol. Mine was only $24, not even a-fix-it-ticket. I looked at the electric hiding plates, coolest thing since sliced bread. I wasn't sure if it would work with the curved bumper on the Limited. I went with the Skene Design brackets. It took 10 mins to install, really easy. I even curved the plate a little bit to wrap the front bumper.
