Just bought a 2006 Limited Coupe!
Well I just bought my Crossfire and am loving every minute of it. I traded in a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT 5-speed with a decent little bit of work done and loved every minute of that car until I lost 2nd gear in the Getrag 5-speed and every quote for repair was between $3,000 to $4500. The Crossfire is like showroom new.
I first saw the Crossfire at the Atlanta auto show in 2004 and fell in love with it. It is something I didn't think I'd be able to afford for quite a long time but that proved to be wrong.
Mine is a:
-2006 Coupe, Limited - Inferno Red
-6 speed
-21,000 miles
I think my PT GT was nearly, if not as fast as the Crossfire up to about 70mph but after that the Crossfire just stomps it. Also the Crossfire is overall MUCH more fun to drive. Of course the Crossfire isn't nearly as utilitarian, but I can live with it!
Here are some obligatory pics: (Edit: the 1957 Chevrolet is mine also)

Here is what I traded in. I will miss it a bit.

Let me be the first to say CONGRATS!!!
I too had a PT Cruiser not a GT. It takes some getting use to not being able to haul any and everything but ..... so worth it.
Good looking car you have there.

scrible, welcome to the forum - I saw your thread on PTCrew about the tranny going POP! Lousy way to get a Crossfire I suppose, but hey, you got a Crossfire!! I believe this makes three of us from PTCrew who have joined over here. I should get a commission or something.

Congrats on the beautiful car. You should dirve it down to Dallas this weekend. 50 Crossfires are comng from all over the country for the laps for charity at Texas Motor Speedway. Other events include Cars and Coffee car show tomorrow morning Lunch at Babe's, Private pool side BBQ at the host hotel which just opened yesterday and managed by one of our members. There are groups coming form OK that you may be able to cruise with. Running the high banks at TMS is a blast! and a great way to have fun with your car and meet many of the poeple on this site. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
See that you are already familiar with car forums. That's a good thing!
So if you can get yourself outta the driver's seat long enough, take a look around and get familiar with your new car and the rest of us here on the forum.
Great to have ya!
