Why do some love these black rims on the Crossfire? Just really seems to take away from the whole look of the car! Curious!!!????? LOL maybe they don't want to clean break dust??? just a thought

 

My thoughts exactly, to hide the brake dust. I love black wheels on a red car ever since my buddy had them on his red '99 Vette, also on a black car with that stealth look.

 

I have a set of black 18"rims with a 3 1/2 rear lip in the garage now...had them on a blue pearl Impreza. Looked great!! I am now going to put them on my Black on Black Vert Mustang. Mocked them up and they look awesome against my red cobra calipers....now mocked up to the SSB 6 I didnt like the look but do like black wheels on Silver cars just not SSB.

 

Different people think different things look good. Thank God everyone doesn't think the way I do ... the whole country would drive yellow XF & I wouldn't be special anymore!!!

 

I am not going to lie I hated the breakdust haha. I got mine becasue I think they bring the whole car together and I kinda wanted to be different. I also love the huge lip on the rear

 

I don't particularly like powder coated OEM/stock wheels, but an aftermarket wheel of the appropriate design in black or graphite/gunmetal looks great on these cars. I do prefer wheels that are not completely black, like with a polished lip or the newer style wheels where there is basically a line around the diameter of the wheel (and sometimes the base of each wheel spoke) that is either silver or another color. I've seen some nice wheels on VWs that have a red accent around the diameter that I think would look pretty hot on a black crossfire. Hmmm, and I just happen to have a black crossfire.

With the right style and size, it can look good. Wheels can make of break a car, and the Crossfire is a VERY difficult car to find a good looking set of rims on.
