Fog Lamp
The lens on the left fog lamp got nailed by a rock. Checked on a replacement and it's a bad news-bad news thing. The bad news is that a replacement (whole unit, can't replace lens) is $98. The bad news is Chrysler (the corporation, not the dealer) has none in stock, and that there are 16 backordered nationwide. Be interesting to see how long I have to wait. Any of you one of those 16?

The light still works -- just the little circular clear thing is sitting inside the casing. (would this be covered by warranty to get it fixed? -- I mean the bulb is fine).

I was wasting some time on the internet and found the fog lights for $76.56 each new. I plan on ordering these soon. This is better than paying the dealership. I called the # listed and shipping from Florida (where they are) to NY (where I is) will be about $12 - $15 total. The woman on the phone wanted my VIN # just to be sure she had the right part. She stated they were IN STOCK. You guys/gals who run into a problem with trying to get the broken fog lamp warrantied, or you base model owners who want fogs, might want to call. $165.00 shipped isn't bad...a slightly used pair just sold on e-bay for $151.00 before shipping!!!

My car is in the body shop right now - waiting on a RH fog light.
Apparently, there has been an upgrade, and both lights should be replaced.
(This is what the body shop manager has said. He's waiting on the adjuster to get there).

Rocks should be covered by your comprehensive coverage on your auto insurance. A rock is basically a "flying object". Comp claims don't go against you, check with your insurance agent.

Picked up my car from the body shop last night - with 2 NEW fog lights.
I have a 2005, they have a new fog light assembly now - it looks slightly different than the original.
The body shop showed me the official blurb from Chrysler which stated that if one fog light required changing, they should both be changes so the appearance is the same.
So...
Anybody need to buy a perfectly good LH fog light with bulb - it's for sale.
The RH is for sale - works perfect, but one of the mounting brackets is broken off.
I've tried uploading a pic of both but nothing is happening!!!

Right Cyril unless you have a zero deductible. Comp is usually a fairly inexpensive coverage. A lot of people think they are saving money by taking a high comp deductible when the difference is pretty minimal when spread over a six month premium period. Call your agent. I doubt it something they will fix under warranty.

Patpur is 100% right. I had my windshield replaced 5 different times on one of my cars during the time I owned it, and it never cost me a dime thanks to zero deductible. Of course I had the car for 18 years.
