Are We Obsessed!
Are we obsessed with every noise our cars make?? I hear noises all the time, then they go away, I think a lot of times they are just the car getting into a warmed up stage after sitting... should we be worried over these sounds??

Mind you she ruined a differential and an engine.
No radio. Each time I drive the XF, I pop in Rick Springfield's 'VENUS IN OVERDIRVE" cd. I know what you're thinking? Rick Springfield???!!!! Trust me, It's his masterpiece. Just give it a listen. His ode to the death of John Lennon ("3 Warning Shots") is simply amazing!!!! This cd is my official "CROSSFIRE driving music".

Yes we are obsessed. I can stand all kinds of noise in almost any situation, but.......the slightest groan or creak will sound like Niagara Falls when I am driving the Crossfire.
I think most of the noise comes from temperature caused contraction/expansion of various body and interior parts. Ever notice how you almost never hear any of these in the rain?
Our obession doesn't like the sounds of possesion on our babies. LOL

I'm obsessed too. I swear, after I got my car back from the custom paint, it seems like there's way more wind noise on my d/s window. Of course its all in my head and by my head (wind noise) and I know they didnt do anything to it.
At least its not as frusterating as the rear hatch/lock rattle that was putting me over the edge. Oh, and Monty....Rick Springfield?! I use to think you were a normal guy

now that's funny...and yes, I listen to every change in noise, but for the most part, it is a very quiet car....I'll change that when I get around to the new exhaust this winter....lol....

The Doors' Break On Through, The Eagles' Hotel California, Kansas' Dust In The Wind, Bon Jovi's Livin On A Prayer, The Doobie Brothers' China Grove, and Chuck Mangioni's Feel So Good... Try 'em on a nice sunny summer or fall afternoon....
I always seem to have one song that clicks with my car. For Nina it's little river band's "reminising". I use to tell myself that when I meet the perfect woman, Id hear the Eagles Peaceful easy feeling in my head. One day while riding my new 04 sportster in red rock canyon, NV that song just popped into my head...I hadnt heard it in weeks but there it was. Perhaps my sporty, Vanda, is the perfect woman. Gotta go, my wifes coming
Sounds like this has become FAVORITE SONG thread. OK, here's my all time favorite driving song - CALL ME THE BREEZE by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It's my top song - I turn that on, and I just want to drive fast. My second favorite is LAYLA by Eric Clapton. The old LAYLA, not the new unplugged bosa nova version!
