Default Was this harsh?

I took my car to some shop by my house and well, the letter written to them explains it all.

Before you respond with "that's what you get for picking a shop at random", please note that I once spent alot of time and money on a project car, and picked only the best shops, purchasing the best parts. I used to be obsessed, to the point where my car was a toy, and it no longer served a purpose (I never drove it).

I sold it to break free of this money wasting obsession, and I decided to buy a few "beaters".
I started to miss having a nice car, so this is why I bought a crossfire. (I plan to take great care of this car, but I don't plan on babying it either). I figured the work needed was simple enough, but apparently not.

Maybe i'm just picky - please read and tell me what you guys think. Was I too harsh? The guy called back and told me he will be more than happy to correct these issues. But still.

I don't think it is harsh at all. You could have hit them with a sock and caused a bigger hurt. JK.
Actually I think it was very well done for an initial complaint.

Harsh? Not at all. You did nothing but explain valid complaints and concerns.

Although a refund, i'm not sure if they'd give you one, judging on how they treated you, and did their "service." It seems they do not care.

That was way more restrained than I would have been. My wife always tells me that you get more with honey than you do with vinegar (or something like that. Not sure about the vinegar part but you get the point...)

Bottom line, they should make it right. One way or the other.

If nothing is done to accommodate you on this issue, I suggest reporting them to the better business bureau. And let them know. That usually gets things moving in your direction a little bit quicker than normal.

My thoughts exactly.
It was a very 'professional' way of handling it.

Not harsh at all; when do you get to the part where you call them all motherf'rs?

When/If the time comes, where I start dropping F-Bombs - My patience with this guy will only make the insult pack more of a punch.

Sure, I'm a nice guy.
But that doesn't mean I won't bite.

He said he will honor the work, and for me to bring back the car.
