Auto Express TT vs CF vs 350z
Has anyone read the test results in Auto Express this week?
Not a glowing report as they compare C.F. with 350z and TT v6.
What I found intresting was the copar at the end of the artical.
In gear times are within 1 sec and 40-50% within 1/2 sec. Depreciation is bang in the middle of the three cars and equipment level is about the same.
It seem to be the same old same old with these reports. Don't like the cup holder, dont like the trim, stiring wheel is to big, dosen't have zenons.
Does this make it a bad car? The cup holder is bad therefor the whole car is bad. A little OTT.
The only point that may be valid is the 6 speed man tranny. merc has never had good Man trannies. Drove one in a CLK hated it but there auto boxs are the ones that sell so, that what merc spent most of there time perfecting. I have yet to see a auto CF test. Will look forward to it if it happens.

Again, this is bias reporting leaning (as always) towards the imports dispite the CF being a half-breed. I never take those Bozos seriously. Over the years I have always read glowing reviews for the SLK/CLK with little if any nit-picking. Here comes the same vehicle (with better/stiffer tuned structure) in a Chrysler suit, and the reviews are suddenly mixed less positive.
I do agree with the manual trans situation. I have the 6sp and though with time it is less sticky in the low gear-range. Overall, my old Mitsu LRV with its long throw shifts smoother....but hey, I'm still happy with my 6spd choice especially when I'm in the 3rd gear-sweet-spot ready to jetison my way past obticles on the road.
