Default Custom Paint

Need opinions form forum members.

I have an 05 Limited coupe with 12, 500 miles on it and have made a few mods thanks to the members on this forum

ANSA Muffler
Koni Adjustible Shocks
Ceramic Brakes
K & N filters
Mesh grill.

However I have never really liked the charcol grey color ( just a personal preference; have received a few compliments on the color).

I am considering having it painted some version of a yellow paint ( corvette yellow, 2009 Miata " racing yellow", butterscotch, etc.

What do you think, I realize it may affect resale ability sometime down the road; maybe not.

Thank you

The yellow looks good on the roadsters.....I would love to see a yellow coupe.

LOL! I think the "affect resale value" argument is long gone! This is the absolute perfect car to do ANYTHING you want to it. Can't hardly get any lower in price than it already is, it's already a novel looking car, so whatever you do to it will just make it that much more so. You can do so many fun things with paint and graphics. It's just like a blank canvas that you as the artist and driver have complete freedom with. Go for it is my opinion, make it however you want!

Like I had mentioned before, when the Cross in its' current incarnation dies, I'm going to pull the engine, and completely hot rod this chassis, and have the most fun creating something. I have Candy tangerine or copper in mind for a color scheme. Unless of course it becomes a rare classic that in original shape sells at Duesenberg prices somewhere down the line. Then I might change my mind. Somehow, no matter how much I love this car, I don't see that happening.

If you do yellow, go with a bright yellow. How about Orange? Or maybe a Black/Grey two tone.

I personally like the grey and wouldn't touch it.

I agree with mdaniels4, I LOVE that Candy Tangerine... there is a new GTO around here with that color and it is gorgeous.... I just cant justify (or afford) the cost of tearing the car apart to have it done right..

I've got a PT Cruiser Turbo in the same Graphite Metallic color as your Crossfire, Daylight, and it's a gorgeous color when properly detailed. It looks wet and deep, and the flake really pops.

You just need me to come over and properly rotary buff it for you.

Cash, check or PayPal, it'll be $500 plus transportation (unless you're local to me). But it will freakin' gleam and you'll love the look!

I love the machine grey on my car and can't bring myself to change it even though I can shoot my own paint. If I run into a chunk of money though, I'd pick up a second xfire (maybe a roadster), and shoot it Lotus Krypton Green. I think that color on this car would just rock.
