140 MPH
Now I feel fully comfortable with the cars handiling. I found a great oppurtunity to put my foot down on a dual carriageway. 2 miles of clear road ahead, no bridges, no turn offs, no parking places, no other cars.
WOW, I couldnt believe it, I was doing 125 MPH in no time and rock solid. I hit 140 MPH before I ran out of safe clear road. It was still rock solid.
Shame I don't live in Germany, I'd get to work in NO TIME

I was over 150. Can't give exact numbers as I had other things to concentrate on (road in front of me). I did however push it past the 150 mark. Very stable. For a car coming directly from the factory, it is a very nice ride. Even at higher speeds.
As someone said earlier, I wish I was in Germany to take advantage of it more often.

Up here in the frozen wastes of Scotland, except it isn't so frozen just now, there are plenty of quite roads to take full advantage of.
Although I am still breaking in the engine, which all ready feels like it wants red line everywhere, I have managed to nudge 130mph out of her.
I was trying to be fairly sypathetic with her, but she just wants to pull and pull.
This particular stretch of road, which I am keeping completely secret just in case the nice Mr Plod finds this message, is always really quite, great road surface and just a couple of slight left-right kinks in it.
I have speed tested my R71 there a couple of times and seen 186mph on the speedo.
Will let you know what I get out of the Crossfire when the top of the range has loosened up a bit more.
BTW.. I have also tested brake set-ups on this stretch of road too, usually before I try the speed one, just in case, and have to say that they brakes on the crossfire are well up to the job. It does give a bit of a wiggle when you are really heavy on the anchors, but this may have just been me adding extra input to the steering at the wrong time.

Did 150 mph just two weeks ago.......
"SWEET!"
Wish I could do this more often. Besides having a wife and a young daughter, there is just way to much to be worried about out there on the open road.
Be safe!

I was amazed at how quickly it got up to speed!
Not that I would ever drive over the speed limit (ha) but on a recent cruise down a 4lane divided road (musta been in some other state)... I was cruisin' at about 70 and punched it.... was doing 125 in "poof" time! Throttled back down quickly, but was VERY impressed with higher speed accelerating ability.... performance at upper end is much better than My Prowler.
