That SLR is a stock car that has been wrapped in gold-like vinyl crap.............kinda like a tight fitting candy wrapper.

There you go Rick, spoiling my "St.Louis" surprise.
Really though, (and I'm borrowing a great quote from former XF Forum member "Juddz" here)....."Carbon Fiber is tomorrow's **** carpet".
I do think a "gloss" black roof and a rear window tinted to match would be a cool look. (I think "Stryfox" did it about 4 or 5 years ago).

I know that several SLRs have been completely chromed, and at least one has been completely covered in jewels, so I don't think that white gold plating is out of the question.
Also:
I've been there-that's the front of the mall in Dubai with the ski slope inside. Neato.

The dash on my car with the cedar interior is black on top. The car in the video must have a custom job, so who knows what it looks like inside???

The color scheme makes it look like a '91 Dodge Stealth

I'm sure someone's cutting some R171 era SLK body kits down to size out there. There are quite a few "panel beaters" in every UAE city to adapt just about anything.

As for the noise, it wouldn't surprise me if the poor sod swopped in an engine from an SLK 230. There are quite a few R170 era cars there and since it's getting harder to register the older cars, Crossfire owners with motor problems may use them for mechanical parts. Also note cars out there run sans catalytic converter ... I think it may be missing the resonator as well.

What a piece of s**t, literally. Ruined a good design, wasted money (of course you have plenty to waste) and created an ill fitting fiberglass ricer. Does it smell as bad as it looks.
