How about gold wheels?
Gold wheels are very 1970s. Like the honeycombs on the Pontiac Trans Am, or the mags on a Cosworth Vega.
On a white car it looks too Lexus-like.
There are better flavours of rice if you wanna go dere.

Maybe if the rest of the trim was gold, but then you would just look like a jackass who thinks he's better than everyone. With all the gold trim, I mean.

Schott Axiom might be the way to go if you want to stay true to the vehicle designer's intent.
Better design and they'll size and paint the wheels to your specs.
I've never liked painted versions of the OEM wheel. Always comes out looking cheap and nasty.

I think Mr Dangerfield summed it up
"Ah, this is the worst looking' wheels I ever saw! I bet you buy a wheels like this you get a free bowl of soup, huh?...Oh it looks good on you, though."

Ya might be able to pull it off on a black car as long as you add some stripes. (Along the lines of a "Hertz" Shelby Mustang). But even that car had Chrome Magnum 500's.
You may not realize it, but you're actually continuing a tradition that "Chrysler" started over 50 years ago.

CAI is a great mod if you want to cut your 1/4 mile ET's by nearly 1/2 sec. and probably improve gas mileage too.
