Default Another typical Crossfire day

Cruising down a well populated 4 lane a SUV pulls up along side driven by a pleasing looking lady giving me the "roll your window down" sign. So at 50 mph I accomidated and answered the standard question with "it's a Chrysler". I like it she replied.
On the way home using an expressway a Lexus SC-300 pulled up gave the Crossfire a look and accelerated away. I was travelling at the posted speed of 70MPH. Followed at a distance until we arrived at a toll station at which we both used the "Sun Pass" transponder lane cruising through at 70 when I decided I would play catch-up. Coming out of the chute and accelerating past 80 I noticed a Trooper just pulling out of his hiding spot about a half-mile ahead. Thinking ticket I slowed down and the Trooper thankfully kept going. After about 4 miles I noticed the Lexus pulling off into my exit and signalling a left hand turn going in my direction. I caught up just as the light changed and followed him through. We both got caught at the next light with him in the left lane me in the right. Now I wasn't going to let him blow off the Crossfire so at light change I applied "a little gas" and beat him to the transition from 4 to 2 lane road. I seldom speed or "hot rod" but felt it necessary to defend the Crossfires good name. Had it been a Corvette I would have behaved differently.

Had it been a SC-400, I would have behaved a little differently too.

Why? a sc 430 best 0-60 is 6.3. Crossfire 6.5 aint much in it and worth the race. Think about it, that not even a car length and who knows the Lexus may be a little slow off the mark.

True. I was talking about the SC-400, which has the same 0-60 as the SC430. Most of the SC-400s I see around here are modded to some degree. They basically have a Supra engine in them, and it is pretty easy to get over 700hp out of them for less than $5k worth of improvements. I have seen, and know of some really fast ones around here.
