Default SRT10 engine into a std XFIRE

SRT10 engine into a std XFIRE --> possible or is it way to big/heavy?
SRT8 ?

Best upgrades for a N/A Xfire?
TB + airfilter ..
changing the exhaust seem unnecessary due to the wonderful sound it produces as stock..

If you find a cheap SLKAMG from 1997 will the engine fit a N/A easily? If difficult, how much modifications have to be carried out?

They used a CL500 engine if I remember correctly..

Honest, I do actually think the standard engine goes quite well.. for an additional drop (about 1 sec) on the 0-60 speed I believe it is not worth the hassle.

for me it'd be not so much about the additional speed as the extra glorious noise from V8 (as well as mid-range torque)

as everybody knows, bigger is not necessarily better. the extra heft would offset some of the performance, added on to the hassle of getting everything hooked up correctly, and there are much better ways of getting a beefier sound. Now if ya just want to play around with doing something off the wall, that another issue.

As I mentioned in one of my posts, I plan on keeping the Cross for a very long time. To me it is the 69 mustang I always wanted. But other than the body and the legend, that Mustang really is a Falcon, or Fairlane at best with a suspension to match. When the Cross dies in its' current incarnation, I plan on using it as a project car. The Cross is a much better animal to swap bodies onto a revamped frame, and a hemi V8. Heck by that time they'll probably have 600HP 6's, or maybe even 600 HP electrics, and you pipe the sound you want through a boom box in the fake exhaust tips!

Is what I adore about my Mustang GT Convertible is that throaty sound of that V8... is why I find it hard to get rid of it, though I don't need two vehicles... Love that car. Best of both worlds here, but the insurance is killing me!!!!
