No offense... never thought I would use the word ugly and crossfire in the same sentence. I have seen what you consider ugly crossfires but they never bothered me. This one does. I am just not a fan of this color/ wheel combination. The two just don't sit well with me.

And that's pretty ugly. The pictures don't do it justice-it's worse in real life.

Sooooo.... change the wheels and exhaust and it's back to a stock Crossfire...If he put Mandrus wheels and a Magnaflow muffler on it, suddenly everyone here would be giving him a 10+ rating. LOL

While I agree the wheels aren't the best, the car isn't totaled. At least he didn't paint the car purple and mount a hood ornament...

No they didn't have Machine Gray in 04, its Graphite. This is my big problem with black/dark colored wheels, they do nothing for the car and in some cases take away from it. Makes the tires look smallas well. Agree with you, not pretty.

 

Pat, you think the black makes those 20" wheels look small???? Geez, here I thought 20s all around on a Crossfire make it look like a caricature! Then again, I've never been a fan of huge wheels on any car. I've seen far, far worse wheels on Crossfires - by a long shot. I don't mind that these are black, it's the size I take issue with. And as JHM2K points out, if you don't like the wheels, change 'em. Big whoop.

 

But on the flip side, look how long you can go before you have to clean the brake dust off those wheels.

 

Yes... that is all I am saying. Put different rims on it and change the exhaust. Then it will be a nicer car. No big deal... just a couple small details. I am not a fan of the black wheels on that particular color car.

Actually....it looks like the Magnaflow muffler only......not a full cat-back.....plenty of people here have that set-up.

While the car doesn't personally "do it" for me.........I sure wouldn't start a thread with this title, especially as the owner could probably see it.

I am never worried about offending anyone. I don't care if the owner sees this thread. I don't like the combo but he may love it and that is ok.

 

I don't think it has anything to do with fear of offending, as much as simply being a matter of class.

Come on, its not that bad. When I saw this thread I was thinking of that neon green X-fire you see from time to time.

This guy (or gal) simply personalized it his/her way.

I have definitely seen uglier on this site.

 

Meh, I've seen worse. At least the wheels are black. If they were silver or chrome, they would look even worse. IMO, most chrome wheels I've seen look pretty poor on the crossfire. I've seen far more offensive wheels on our cars.
