Potholes + Pilot2s = $
Flat tire: Well, moving here from the comfy roads of AZ, I hit a pothole on my xfire's third day here in NY and blew the front right tire. That costed me $220 and three days wait. The rear tire has a small bubble that I'll have to keep an eye on for now. Bottom line: watch out for those potholes! Make an extra, extra effort to avoid them as you too will pay the price. The alignment is fine though.
Oil change: I also got an oil change on my 2500 mile xfire and the oil alone costed me close to $60! Synthetic is that expensive they say. I say expensive is right! Ouch.
Wind noise: The dealer was oblivious to the TSB about the wind noise and the problem remains unfixed, despite them claiming to have fixed it. I can't wait any longer, so I'm not going back for a while.
Snow tires: I also looked into snow tires and the cheapest deal I found was a little less than $2000 from tirerack directly. This quote was based on 18" on all fours with winter tires and new rims. The other option, from a local tire dealer, was $2400...also for all 18" tire and rims. I'm opting to not buy anything and just stick out the remaining snow days.
Oh I miss the warm weather and fun, dry, beautiful roads of AZ.
Cheers!

tt00sf,
Too bad about the tire but you got a good price. I paid $484.41 out the door mounted and balanced for a rear tire and an eight day wait. So far jsisabella holds the record at 21 days and just over $2000 for two wheels and two tires.
You miss the warm AZ weather??? I "feel your pain", but at least you can get good pizza, hoagies and cheesesteaks!!!   and a

It is a record I would rather not be the title holder of......
:-)
Everyone just remember that I have two extra 19" wheels if anyone is ever in a jam and needs one or both of them quickly and inexpensively.
Sorry about the shameless plug, I just could not resist.
