Kia Forte?
Z28s and big blocks -- I'm jealous. But it's just as well that my first car was a 63 Buick Special station wagon with a 225 V6. The way I drove that, any more power and I would have been dead 40 years ago. As it was we used to make it from Saratoga Springs to Schenectady NY (Skidmore to Union), a 22 mile ride, in less than 20 minutes along back roads at 2am. You can guess I should never have been on the roads at that point.
Back to the original post: whether he is faster or not, he's still driving a Korean POS and it always will be. We have cool cars. The litmus test -- both of you pull up to a car full of cute girls -- which car will they check out?

V6-absolutely. My dad sold the car to a Jeep enthusiast who wanted the engine -- it had 115k miles on it, the body was well rusted, the muffler was patched with a beer cap, and he got $15 for it. My replacement was a 66 Buick Skylark with the 340 V8. I remember trying to talk my parents into the GS 350 instead, but they knew better (and were frugal), so they bought the basic sedan which was handed down to me in 1970 with 60k miles. I beat the crap out of it until I graduated college, and then replaced it with a brand new 1974 Triumph TR6. It was my dream car, but unfortunately I used it as a daily driver and it rusted badly after 6 years. After many, many years of boring cars and minivans, I found my second dream car, the 2005 Crossfire roadster, and bought it new. It does not see snow/salt for the reason above and looks brand new after 34k miles. (Almost weekly I wish that I had driven the TR6 in the summer only and still had it today, as the original owner.)
You guys are bringing back some memories there.... My first was a 69 Pontiac LeMans -- a weaker cousin to the GTO. It was both powerful and beautiful. In fact, I had no idea how powerful it was in the beginning and ended up making a lot of unintended skid marks in the parking.. okay, maybe some of them were intended...
