Default Kia Forte?

Ok I have a friend who just got a 2010 Kia Forte coupe, he says its fast and can beat me but i doubt it. Can I beat him? We havent had a chance to race yet, but probably will in the next few days. Has anyone raced one?

SX = 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60, finishing the quarter mile in 16.8 seconds at 84 miles per hour.

The two cars are hardly a match. Your friend willhave to take steroids for a year to be able to peddal fast enough to even keep up.

Tell your friend to go back and get a Genesis.

Or do what we use do when we were your age....race him, let him win by a few car lengths....tell him it was close, and bet him $20 that you think you can beat him....lol

My first car was a flathead V8 '39 ford businessmans coupe. Did the quatermile in about a week.Came home one day and my dad had sold it to make the house payment.
Second car was a 316 CI 56 Pontiac Starchief HT. Grandma's kind of car but after a bore to 364 and a huge AFB 4 BBL carb, it did ok
A 348 tripower with solid lifters and a 3/4 high rise cam did better in my '60 Chevy Impala vert. Black just the way you like them.

Nobody in my part of town ever had a new car on the school lot. We bought 'em old, bent and fried.,,,,, and built 'em from there.

Doc, just wanted to make you aware..my mother was 7 when you entered highschool, my father...8.

You win.

I have to admit '69 camaro would be a pretty sweet first car.

In all honesty I don't associate Kia Forte with speed...although I do think they have a chance to compete in the market with the Toyota Corrola, and actually steal a decent market share from them...especially given Toyotas recent problems.
