Default crossfire breakin

just wondering if anyone is following break in recommendations, or are like me a rage in a cage, this car begs to be driven, not abused just driven, I have gotten on mine a few times but i havnt just dogged and dogged it, seems like i read somewhere the crossfire has rev limiter so you wont keep it in the red too long or ever get it there just wondering how everyone is or has broke their crossfire in

i don't think i found any real brea-in info in the book. took me a while to get comfortable enough in it to push it hard. changed oil/filter at about 2K miles cause i've got this idea that the engine will be shedding some high spots and it's good to get all that out of the pan.

one thing i've wondered. the car seemed to get faster and more responsive somewhere around 1500 miles. is this the kind of stuff they can load into the computer??

i'm at about 7500 miles now and it just get's better.

I've built quite a few engines and one thing I can tell you for sure.... If you try to break and engine in with synthetic oil you'll never get the job done. You should always use patrolium oil for breaking in an engine. This car comes with synthetic oil which tells me the engine is already broken in. So drive and enjoy.... That's what I've been doing.

I believe the book says break in period was 1000 miles, seems like a lot to me. I took it easy for the first 250 and have been driving normally since. I do know that my mileage has increased from 23 to 25MPG + since I bought it, so something is changing.

CCrossfire....This is just a guess on my part.... I think the reason you are getting better fuel mileage is because the computer (ECU) is used to the your driving style and has changed accordingly to optimize fuel scheduling.
