Looking at the Crossfire
Hello, I am looking at getting a Crossfire...I am only 23 and look at getting one after I graduate in Aug, so realistically probably around Dec or so... I am commissioning into the Air Force, and I thought I would never be one of those guys who go and get a new "lieutenant mobile" right after commissioning but I saw one a couple months ago and have been sold ever since! A lot of my friends think I'm crazy and should go with like an RX-8 or a 350Z...but I think this just has that classy flair that nothing can touch!
I actually went on the web site and requested more info and I was very impressed in the fact that they sent a CD about the car! made my day!
Now I just have questions like what do people think about the interior for a SSB or Graphite? Does anyone have a Cedar interior, or does the two tone grey look better for those exteriors? (I'm kind of hisitant on the Cedar, Love the way the seats look, but not too sure about the dash)
Also I was wondering if someone could post a couple picks for me. I know its sounds weird, but I've seen people post about the cupholder and all...well where the heck is it? haha...also what the console holder looks like and how big it is.
anyways I love this car so far and I dont even have one yet, hopefully soon I'll be posting as an owner!

don't worry about the cupholder or your friends tastes in cars, if you buy an RX-8 you have to drive betwen 6k and 9k RPM to make it move and it drinks oil and a crossifre will still beat it away from the lights!
As for the 350 its more of a brute than the crossifre, if you are off into the airforce then this is one topgun car, i Know I've got one

Don't worry about the "lieutenant mobile" tag, mine was a Jaguar. So many will have one that you won't be noticed, unless of course you decide on the Crossfire, then you will be noticed for sure. I never get tired of looking at mine and driving it is just icing on the cake. Hopefully DC will tone down the cedar interior by removing some of the dash and steering wheel color. One poster here used a black steering wheel cover that was quite effective. Welcome to the forum
Congratulations on your commission, will you be in flight training ?
OK, as regards your "cockpit" in the Crossfire, I also considered Cedar until a freind of mine who has the same colour in his wife's SLK said it can become a bit tiring - especially the wheel. I don't particularly like the light grey interior although it does go well with SSB. That leaves the all black which at the end of the day is always a safe, but elegant choice.
As for overall taste - the RX8 is too, well, Japanese looking and although the 350Z has the looks to match its performance there are a lot of them around (in multiple guises as they attract the tuning fraternity) so the Crossfire maintains a certain well bred aloofness from the other coups around offering great style, quality interior, and an engine that has plenty of punch for todays traffic and can either cruise quitely (not so easy in the 350Z) or snap quickly to attention for fast lane changes without shifting (impossible in the RX8). Buy it and enjoy.

Wow! thx ya'll for the replys! and thx AZ for the pics!...
Yea I was never worried about the cup holder...I had just seen in other reviews and stuff mention it so I always wondered like what kinda design it was and all you know...haha. Yea I defintly agree with what ya'll said about comaring those other two cars and the CF...I'm not too much into the sleek futuristic look, I mean like the 350 Z is great and all, but I defintly prefer the classy look more! specially when u start trying to add all the features into the other cars...anyways we all know this!
Haha, and even though I won't be flying in a cockit in the Air Force (well still flying, just not the pilot, sorry Stormbird) it'll defintly be nice to be riding in one on the ground!!! Haha, and you know how it is CCrossfire...especially with this ride, the CF Lietenant ride will be standing out over everyone!!! 8)
