i have been looking for a crossfire chat board...i just found it today...you'll see a lot of me...i love this car. i gave up an 02' M3 after two years for my crossfire. my friends think i'm nuts but i see 2-3 M3's a day in my area...i wanted to be different. i have only seen 2 crossfire's since i took delivery of mine in late october.

All I did was change my radio to an MP3/WMA/Satellite radio and mounted the satellite antenna on the dash.

Was wondering where people got crossfire license plate holders and k&n filters for these guys. Just got mine the other day and want to spruce it up a bit, albeit minimally with those things and perhaps tinting the windows.

Replaced the stock brake pads with EBC "Green Stuff" brake pads. I have now put 206 miles on them and my wheels are still clean!!! I am a very happy camper. No more buying spray wheel cleaners. A sponge will do just fine.

If you are interested I got them from Tire Rack. They don't list the Crossfire but I ordered for 320 SLK and they are perfect. Even have the notch for the wheel sensor. They were under $70.00 per set w/ shipping and I ordered them on Wed. and Thurs. they arrived, UPS. But Tire Rack is in Baltimore and I'm in Va. Beach. Not a very long trip. :P

sounds like a good thing to do. Notice any improvement in braking and did you have to buy a diff/new tool? Was this back brake pads too?

Here's a link to my post on this subject.
No special tools. The caliper bolts are 7mm allen head. Just be careful with the ABS sensor. Disconnect it from the ternial block and remove the sensor with the pad. Then gently pull it out of the pad and install it in the new one..... Piece of cake. about 10 - 15 minutes per wheel.

If you're **** about clean wheels, like I am, you will be overjoyed at the difference.

Now I can lay on the brakes and I don't get visions of my wheels being smothered in black dust.

Since I'm a driver and not a mechanic, I wanted to ask you guys a question. If I wanted to put these pads on when I have brakework done next, can I just order them and hand them to the dealer and ask them to use these? I don't see why not, but I've never owned a car where I wanted "custom" work.

Also, another dumb girl question: How often would you replace these pads?

Thank you all for all the great input!

Diane, I think most places would put on your pads if you were getting other service done and you payed the labor.Brake pad life depends on your driving style(stop and go or all highway etc.)The pads have sensors that will squeel or turn on a brake light on the dash when there worn out.Have them checked every couple oil changes.I might put on these pads also.

Just checked Tire Rack's site, they now have them listed for the Crossfire at $59/set.
