Here is mine. It is not a replica. It is an actual plate that was registered in Stuttgart.

That is what prompted me to get my plate. My bumper had 2 holes in it from the time I purchased it.

That is interesting, and I did not know this. I researched it, and mine is actually a special temporary plate (Kurzzeit-Kennzeichen). If it were an export plate, it would have a red stripe on the right instead of the yellow. Still good information to know.

Hello bmorgan. No, the yellow means that you have a respit of five days with incurance,
and the one with the red side is for 15 days . You have to take the car out of Germany in those days. I bourth mine in dec last year in Germany so i also have this plates with the Yellow stripe

Thanks for the information. I guess you can't trust wikipedia all the time. LOL

I used to live in Stuttgart for 3 years, but that was way back in 1986-89.

I could understand if the car already had holes in the bumper, but if not, why in the world would you drill a bumper to put on a Euro plate from a 'domestic' car?? (and I did put domestic in quotes for a reason, we all know what it is, the public is another story)
