At $900, this would be a great parts car, missing the motor and transmission though. Maybe someone could throw a V8 in it from a CLK500. Located in San Jose, CA.

Interesting, I didn't know they made a Base Crossfire in 2004.

 

Something tells me this went through a chop shop that knew that the motor and trans where the expensive parts of the car. They probably figured they could make some money parting out what's left or selling it whole. Or I'm just crazy. Probably that. Either way, there was/is no such thing as a 2004 base coupe. Not that I know of at least.

 

As far as I know they didn't make a base in 2004. Maybe they painted everything black or they wrote the wrong year down by accident.

Is it just me, or shouldn't the front end be sky high if it's missing the motor and tranny?

 

Very short travel on these XFs suspension. Look at the tilt of the front tire.
