Where is the OBDII plug please?
Really? Read the manual. It's right next to the hood release.
If you can't even find the OBDII plug then I dont think you should even be touching the XF. or even driving it.

There's a little latch underneath the dash where your left leg normally resides. Just pull it open and plug the reader in.
