Wes:

I wonder if it is a copy....

The giveaway is the following:

"For your convience, I will also include the shareware version of Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader on the CD."

If it was an original, you can not add programs to the CD-ROM.

I wouldn't mention it to your D/C dearler!

I saw that too. I figure if it's a copy and it has the info. on it. I'm a happy camper. Well worth the $50.

I think its great that he is getting a copy of the service manual. I would love to have one and know the info on my unique car. Besides, he might need to know the info so he can hint to the mechanics how to service somthing besides a PT Cruiser or Sebring. Besides the Crossfire is probably pretty foreign to the typical Chrysler tech (Being a Mercedes and all). Im sure only a handfull of techs go to the Crossfire training, am I wrong?

Hey, how large is the PDF file??

I like this tidbit from the auction...

***Infringing and copyrighting these trademarks within this auction will be prohibited. Voilating the trademark and copying this auction will be reported to eBay Security Center**

errr, I guess violating DaimlerChrysler's trademarks is ok?

No doupt it is a copy, please post when you get it and let us know how it is. I would like to have one for myself. It seems this seller has no shortage of manuals on ebay. The seller seems at bit shady though.

I didn't get the manual to try to "sharp shoot" my tech. I got it so that I can do some of my own maintenance and to get to know the car better.

I have said it before.. And I will say it again. If you take your car in to a dealer- INSIST a crossfire certified tech works on your vehicle. And you are correct.. Only a select few are certified to work on your Crossfire. In my shop, out of 12 technicians, only 2 are Crossfire certified.

Most of the things I've bought on ebay that came from Cananda take about a week and a half. It hasn't gotten here yet.

I got the manual today. It it's got all 3,307 pages. The CD has a Green label with 2004 at the top w/ Chrysler wing logo below. Below that is written... SERVIVE MANUALS and below that... DIAGNOSTIC MANUALS... Then at the very bottom it has... Diamler-Chrysler Corporation. It also has an Automotive Youth Educational Systems PROUD PARTNER seal.

It works for me!!!

I have to admit that I ordered one also. I asked about it at my dealer, and they told me they could not order it, but gave me an 800 number to call. I started to get the run around, so I just said to forget it.

The label on this CD looks like it was printed on an inkjet printer from a scanned image of the original. The image is not very crisp. But the manual does seem to be complete. I am sure D/C will not be happy about this.....

The PDF file is 169 meg. If you have DSL or a T1 line it might not be too bad a download. But would still take a while.
