Default Where Is Everyone Off To This Weekend In Their Crossfire???

Hey Gang,

Just thought it would be fun to see if any of you were planning a short weekend road trip in your Crossfire this weekend and where you're going???

Mrs Outlaws and I are getting ready to leave for Bisbee, AZ... an old copper mining town turned into an "artsy fartsy" kind of place about 240 miles SE of Phoenix. Should be a nice drive, half freeway and half two lane passing through Tombstone Arizona on the way.

Wherever you guys go... have a great "Crossfire" weekend!!!

My wife and I are headed down to Pismo Beach, CA this weekend for a homeowner's assoc meeting. Its a 3 hour trip. We have a 3 bedroom vacation rental down there. (a little advert). The weather will be in the high 60's and no rain. I would like to come back home by way of Hiway 1 but the wife has stuff to do.

Yesterday, I saw a red Xfire just like mine in Morgan Hill facing me at the stoplight. Yeah!!!

It's raining right now but should be stopping this evening and then partly cloudy and 58* tomorrow. Because the course would not be consistant for all cars (if it's pouring or not when you run) they won't run in the rain. :P

My usual Sunday Drive (sometimes on Saturday) is right off a Beach Boys album. Head down to San Clemente or Doheney Beach, drive north through the Dana Point Harbor to stop and read for a while as the sailboats go past, then up PCH through Laguna Beach (probably one of the most beautiful beach cities ever...the city is known for its arts/gay-friendly lifestyle, so every view is either flower-filled, or some artsy architecture...plus blue ocean coves), and then it's north through Newport Beach and Balboa Island where I stop and take the Ferry across to the "Fun Zone" (the 3-car Ferry is always good for showing off the XF to admirers) and then up through Surf City (Huntington Beach) and finally to Sunset Beach, when I turn around and take PCH in a straight shot to Laguna Canyon and head back inland to home. It's weird to be reminded that I live 20 minutes from such amazing vacation destinations.

You're all invited to join me anytime...and you can visit the original Mouse House just up the road in Anaheim, as well!

Sure is nasty here in Michigan ... I took a nice drive through some smaller towns and roads... Did some driving through Oxford, Dryden area then over to Birmingham...

Even went cruising with my buddy in his Vette last night for a bit! He was mighty surprised at how nice the low end speeds are on the Xfire! I was impressed also! haha

How's this for excitement. Bought some "wet & black"...then got gas at $1.78...just 2 days ago, it was $1.98. What gives?? Didn't know that global supply and demand changed that much on a bi-day basis. Need to wash the car...but like I said, the weather is lousy.

crossfiretech - We stayed in Lake Havasu City a couple of months ago on a trip from Mississippi back to Las Vegas. We had not been there in twenty years and could not believe how much it has grown. So, if you have not been there in awhile - you will hardly recognize it when you return
