Default Gas tank question.

I think I know the answer, but just double checking. Owners manual under capacities has two entries for gas tank. First one says 15.8 gallons. Then there's an entry that says gas reserve 2 gallons. Does this mean:
1) The gas tank actually holds 17.8 gallons; or
2) The little yellow idiot light comes on when there are two gallons left in the 15.8 gallon tank.
I suspect the latter. Can anyone confirm for sure.

Vegaslegal, I was under the impression that the "reserve" meant that there was 15.8 gallons to the tank, and you could only use 13.8. I had a auto-shop class when the instructor told me (from what I can remember) that the reserves that fuel tanks hold are not accessible.

I could be wrong and giving this all my best guess though. I would like for someone else to chime in who actually knows what's the deal.

At least I don't get to a Dragon event looking like Christopher Reeves without his chair. Come on Officer John, did Hell Bender take that much life out of you?

The last time I dried out a tank like you guys are crowing about (1974), I promptly clogged the fuel filter.

Just something to think about as you're holding the hose next time...

I was going for the "raymond Burr Ironsides look" and was hoping you would have been kind enough to drive me around and show this old man the way around. As it turns out you ended up being a BURDEN ON THE *** OF PROGRESS holding up myself and the likes of K-impossible with your Sunday afternoon driving. ..The only thing in your SRT that I heard Spool Up was a ball of Yarn!!!!!

Must have been hidden under your middle school band shirt ANd while were on the subject of your insensitive remarks on yesterdays thread reguarding some one who wished to modify his crossfire to be more in tune with his driving abilty,,,have you considered re-bodying you car to look like a plymouth Valient and donating that mill in your SRT and transplanting it with a slant six....then you could go out and "flogg yours" with no HOLDING BACK.
