Default dealer paint mod??

Just got my new raido put in today, and was talking to my salesman on how i liked the car, when he asked "how do you like the painted window frame?". thats right, my dealer painted the silver window trim black to match the car. he said thay got the idea from another dealer out of state, but he didn't remember wich one. when i got the car i thought some of the black cars came that way. i will say, it does look good. but i do want to know if any one else got one?

The dealer told me that I could have it done to mine when I was considering a black or graphite one but was hesitant because I didn't like the two tone action. I just didn't think it would look right or I don't know, didn't want to mess with it, so got the sapphire silver, so it's not that noticeable. Interesting they did it though without you asking them to.

You should upload a photo to your album on here if you can. I'm sure a lot of people would love to see what it looks like.

Someone on the forum has an alabaster that all od the silver trimed was painted to match the car. I have to say that I didn't much like the trim painted the same on that car. Maybe it would look better on the red or darker color car. :?

WMichaels... I have to agree with you. I like the trim color on the SSB and Alabaster, but not on the other colors.

What you lot on about it? Can't see a problem with mine. Just makes the car more eye-catching.

Some like it. Some don't.

I'm in the 'don't' category. I was very interested in the black colour until I saw one in real life. The pictures on Chrysler's site and their ads must be intentially shot to hide this. If you can see the area of the window trim it is either:
- On an SSB (blends into the car)
- On a White background, at an upward angle (blends into the background).
- Black and White

I get to the dealership, and see the black... At first I thought it was the shipping/protection tape, still on it. But, unfortunately, no. The dealer had offered to paint the trim black for me. But, I went with the SSB instead.

I've got a black one and I love the silver trim! It makes it look classy, classic and sexy.

Mine is black. I must say that it took me awhile to warm up to the silver trim but warm up to it I have. When it is clean it is a real eye catcher.

Nice improvment with the paint, Nice job. I like it better than the stock. I am going to have to get that done with my grey one.

Go for whatever does it for you... that's what it's all about. The reason I bought a SSB is that it's the only color "I" think the two tone scheme works best with. The Alabaster was my second choice. I would have went with red but never thought of asking the dealer to paint the windshield trim.

Default Window Trim

I would have to say they look ten times better when the color of the window trim matches the car!!
