Aesthetics are interesting and individual. There is no right and wrong. I believe in sticking with the original whether thumbs up or down.
If I have a negative with the silver it is that it is not real aluminum. If the center dash and console along with the window frame, door handles and side vents were real aluminum I would disagree with you. Since they are painted...to each his own.

Yea, what is that white stuff? I'm going south to find some of the sand stuff...

The black painted trim looks like. I'll leave mine alone...

The silver trim is part of the Crossfire artwork..similar to the Audi...making it EURO Retro-Stylish and not RICEyish

honestly we had mixed emotions on the colors, but we eventually picked black because the trim stood out more as a contrast/accent. We saw a dealer preped black one a couple weeks ago when we were in Scottsdale, AZ looking at property. The stock wheels were chromed, the little fins/louvers on the side chromed and the trim around the front window and the door handles powder coated black. it looked good but we like the stock set up better, maybe a biased opinion.

I think I like
ot love he silver trim on my black car. However, imagine how nice it would look if it were brushed aluminum?

The car does look far more pedestrian without the silver trim... I could go either way. It is slightly garrish, but without the silver trim it doesn't look as interesting.

When my car goes in next week to fix the key marks on the door I'm going to have the trim painted black to match. It will be cheaper since it will be in the spray booth anyway. I'm also thinking about doing the door handles and some other trim pieces.
